BBC Question Time special: Theresa May tells voters ‘I had the balls to call an election’

2 Jun

In a sign of just how significant the Tories and Labour believe this evening’s TV showdown is, the parties have sent many of their respective frontbenchers to try and convince the journalists in the spin room that their leader performed better than their counterpart.

We have already seen Boris Johnson and Labour’s campaign chief Andrew Gwynne. The Tories have also sent Sir Michael Fallon, the Defence Secretary, and Karen Bradley, the Culture Secretary.

Meanwhile, Labour has also sent Rebecca Long-Bailey, the shadow business secretary.
