Blair BACK? Ex-PM ‘plots new party’ for political RETURN if Corbyn is crushed in election

However, that would be dependent on many of those same MPs holding on to their seats, which are under threat due in part to the candidates association to Corbyn’s Labour.

Some have distanced themselves from the party’s hard-left manifesto draft leaked last week, and published their own pledges to their constituents.

With the majority of Corbyn allies in safer Labour seats, moderates realise they might never regain control of the party, and are seeking alternatives.

A YouGov poll for the Sunday Times found that only eight per cent of voters would support a party connected to the ex PM, while 37 per cent said it would be a vote loser.
