Grenfell Tower fire: Anger grows over council’s handling of relief efforts

Large amounts of food and other essential items have been brought to centres near the scene.

But it was claimed that distribution to victims was being left to voluntary groups with the council failing to take overall responsibility. And this lack of co-ordination, it was claimed, risked leaving masses of donations going to waste.

Dozens of people attended a meeting of the Radical Housing Network, made up of different activist groups yesterday morning to discuss supporting displaced residents.
