Shocking anti-Tory posters hoping to turn voters against Conservatives being investigated

3 Jun

The posters appear to be official Tory campaign adverts and it is only on closer inspection of the critical words is it obvious they are a hoax and the logo has been altered.

Many of them have been placed in official spaces owned by advertising giant JCDecaux.

There are strict rules surrounding influential election material during a campaign, including the fact material must contain details about who is responsible for the production of the material, including a name and address of the promoter and printer, to ensure transparency.

This applies to parties and candidates as well as those not officially affiliated, Electoral Commission rules state.

These details do not appear on most of the “satirical” posters.
