Cleveland police say they are hunting a suspect who broadcast a murder on Facebook Live.

Officers said Steve Stephens claims to have committed multiple killings.

In a statement, they said the suspect was armed and dangerous.

Calvin Williams, the city police chief, said no other victims had been found and that there been no sightings of Stephens since he posted the video on Sunday.

“We want him to turn himself in,” he said during a news conference. “If that doesn’t happen we have all our partners on this and we will look until we find him.”

He is believed to be driving a white or cream-coloured 4×4.

NBC reported that a video posted to a Facebook account apparently showed someone filming walk up to an older man and shooting him dead.

The video was captioned “Easter day slaughter” but was later taken down.

“Suspect did broadcast the killing on Facebook Live and has claimed to have committed multiple other homicides which are yet to be verified,” Cleveland police said in a statement.
