Harvey Weinstein wants ‘reconciliation’ with his British wife, despite avalanche of sex pest claims

Among the stars said to have been encouraged by him to wear her clothes is the British actress Sienna Miller, who wore Marchesa to the 2007 Golden Globes and whose film Factory Girl was produced by Mr Weinstein’s company.

Ms Miller’s publicist said she would not be commenting on the claims surrounding the film mogul.

Ms Chapman’s family refused to comment on the collapse of the marriage.

Her mother, Caroline Wonfor, said on Wednesday she had “no idea” how her daughter was coping as a result of the scandal.

Ms Chapman, 41, met Mr Weinstein, 65, in 2003 and they married four years later, going on to have two children.

Mr Weinstein had claimed last week that his wife was “standing by me 100 per cent” and that she would be one of the people to “kick my a**” and help him become a better man.

But subsequent claims in The New Yorker that her husband subjected the Italian actor Asia Argento to oral sex against her will and forced the aspiring actor Lucia Evans to perform oral sex on him appeared to have been the last straw for Ms Chapman, prompting her to announce the end of their marriage.
